Fall 2004 thru Jan 1st 2005

This shot was taken in early October of 2004, I had concerns that we may have missed our chance to get dozer in, as the weather had been quite wet.
The machine was here almost thru to Dec, as the rain just kept coming.

I took this picture laying on my belly with my elbows on the edge of the water as the sun was rising one morning before the frost came.
I would think late Sept as the leaves are already in full colour.

This picture is from the top of a 20ft pile of soil that was removed from the pond before it was flattened out.
The view is from the edge of the pond over the 1 acre building lot that we have severed and have for sale.
The whole point of this project was to make as nice a building lot as possible.

And this is how it all looks on Jan 1st 2005.
I spent the day in the bush with snow shoes and the camera. Eventually I found my way down to the pond in the late afternoon.

I can't think of a better way to start a new year... A full MP3 Player of music on a crisp sunny day...
I sat by the edge of the pond for over an hour, and even dozed off for a short spell as the sun warmed my face.

This is the view of the building lot from the road.
The berm that is seen toward the back of the near tree line is a 4 to 5ft plateau that adjoins the pond.
We opted to landscape it like this as it would allow the purchasers of the lot more options for potential home placement, on virgin or unbroken ground.

If you are interested in this building lot, and access to the pond that it connects to, here is who to contact.
Enjoy the New Year!!!
